My baseline, like so many of you, is anger. It’s something I must constantly battle against, especially when things don’t go according to my plans.
It’s at those times I really need to let go of this illusion of control and rest in the arms of the One who sees all, is never surprised, is never shocked, and always pursues me in Pure Love.
As our house prepares to light the 4th Advent candle this week, I would do well to consider what my goals in life really should be. Perhaps then, I wouldn’t waste my time getting frustrated but would instead reach out to others in need – even if it doesn’t fit my plans.
